Emergency Operation and Self-Testing
When normal AC power fails, the internal solid-state transfer switch automatically connects the battery to the LED lamp heads. The fixture remains illuminated for at least 90 minutes, then returns to normal operation and resumes charging when AC power is restored.
The self-diagnostic system monitors the battery, LED load and emergency runtime. It performs a 30-second discharge test every month and a full 90-minute discharge test annually. Status indicators identify charging, full charge, emergency operation, self-testing and fault conditions, and the integral push-to-test switch supports manual testing.
